Karate Kata
Karate Kata are executed as a specified series of approximately 20 to 70 moves, generally with stepping and turning, while attempting to maintain perfect form. There are perhaps 100 kata across the various forms of karate, each with many minor variations. The practitioner is generally counselled to visualize the enemy attacks, and his or her responses, as actually occurring.

kata is a series of alternate attack and defense actions: So, there are frequent changes of actions and connections of techniques. One must pay attention to the movement of body, eyes, respiration, etc. The steps of paying attention are as follows:

Categories of Kata
The kata are categorized by the techniques, composition and points of stress, which are classified into three minor categories.
Technique (variable, practicable, simple)
